Namaste and a big hello..
Let us inspire you to experience bliss, ease and wellbeing when you practice with us. We teach alignment based, Hatha Vinyasa Yoga and Meditation, accessible to all ages, abilities or disabilities. We focus on helping each person grow their practice in a supportive and compassionate environment. We are greatly inspired by our world Yoga community whom we have learned so much from and whom has taught us so much in how to adjust the practice to meet their unique and individual needs. Every day that we teach is a learning experience for us and our community by applying the practice to meet our individual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali states in sutra 1:2 yogaś-citta-vr̥tti-nirodhaḥ translates to “Yoga is mastering the roaming tendencies of the mind” followed by sutra 1:3 tadā draṣṭuḥ svarūpe-‘vasthānam “Then the soul becomes established in its true nature”. A Yoga and Meditation practice can lead the way to your true self it is a journey that we all have to walk, let us explore and support this journey together…
Hello! My yoga journey began ten years ago, while in high school and throughout college. I was a competitive athlete, I ran track, cross-country, and played soccer. I had extremely tight hamstrings and hips and I began practicing yoga off and on as a supplement to my exercise regimen for only it's stretching aspect. It wasn't until my college soccer career ended that I began taking my yoga practice seriously and only as a form of exercise. We moved to Grenada in 2015 in order for my husband to attend Veterinary School and it was here that I became interested in pursuing a200-hour yoga teaching certification. I had a couple of friends who did the training with MitSukha and raved about how amazing the whole experience had been. In the fall of 2016, I became a certified 200hr Yoga teacher. My friends were right, my experience and the knowledge I gained of all the aspects of Yoga was AMAZING! I am so grateful for this experience at this point of my life. As a new teacher, I am continually learning and challenging myself to be the best possible instructor for all whom I have the opportunity to guide through their own practice. My goal is to continue to share the joy and gratitude that yoga offers to all of my students. Namaste Brittany
Acro Vinyasa Hatha Yoga Teacher
Hello everyone, I began practicing yoga in 2013 while in college in Missouri. I came from a background of a tight, inflexible body, from my years of running and not stretching properly. I walked out of my first yoga class in awe! My body had never felt so good, and I had never felt such peace and contentment. From that moment on I began a steady and constant yoga practice, which eventually led me to Acro yoga. I began practicing and learning Acro Yoga, or partner yoga, about a year after I took my first yoga class. My husband, who is also a yoga instructor, and I, began learning Acro and fell absolutely in love with the practice! Acro yoga is the perfect combination of letting go and holding on, learning to trust one another, building strength, and stretching together, and it is such an honor to teach this beautiful and fun practice, as well as Hatha Vinyasa yoga. After moving to Grenada in 2015 for my husband to attend medical school, I decided to complete a 200 hour Hatha Vinyasa Yoga and Meditation teacher training with Fountain of Youth Yoga, which introduced me to a whole new beautiful world of yoga, teaching, and meditation. When I'm not practicing or teaching yoga, I enjoy hiking, swimming, chocolate and playing with my dog. I feel so much gratitude for this beautiful world of teaching introduced to me by MitSukha, to whom I am so thankful for everyday, for helping me change my life in more positive ways then I could have ever imagined. I give gratitude everyday for this journey I am on ❤️ Namaste Katherine
